WAFA Floral Art Competition

The Association of Irish Floral Artists (A.O.I.F.A.) present ELEMENTS OF NATURE an International Virtual Floral Art Show celebrating Kitty Gallagher's term as Chairperson of the Board of W.A.F.A. Limited. Only 16 entries allowed in each class.

Judging takes place 10th - 14th November, 2022
Results will be published on Friday 18th November, 2022 on, and


  1. The competition is open to all members of W.A.F.A.
  2. The competition will be judged under W.A.F.A. rules.
  3. The show will be judged by accredited judges from W.A.F.A. member countries.
  4. Exhibits should be the original, unaided work of the competitor and not have been previously on any forum.
  5. Places in each class are limited to 16 entries and must be pre- applied for through
  6. Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
  7. Exhibit photograph is to be submitted between 1st November (09.00 GMT) and 6th November (17.00 GMT) to stating Name, Class Number and Contact Number (WhatsApp) if available.
  8. The photograph must be in clear, high resolution, jpeg format and must not be enhanced in any way. Cropping of surroundings is permitted.
  9. Competitors may enter as many classes as they wish but may not stage more than one entry per class.
  10. Competitors unable to fulfill their commitment to enter must notify the Show Administrator ( in advance of the show.
  11. Comments will be sent to each individual competitor and will not be published.
  12. Exhibits may not be posted on social media until after the release of results.
  13. By entering the competition, you are agreeing to allow an image of your design be published and named on social media.
  14. The judges' decision is final.

International World Flower Show Rules

  • An exhibit is made of plant material, with or without accessories, according to the space specified in the show schedule.
  • Plant material must predominate over all other components of the exhibit.
  • The use of artificial plant material is forbidden unless otherwise stated in the schedule.
  • Painted and/or artificially coloured plant material may be used unless otherwise stated in the schedule.
  • Fresh plant material must be in water or in water-retaining material unless such material remains turgid.

Staged on a flat surface. Space allowed: width 80cm; depth 60cm; height optional, against a background of the exhibitor's choice.

No Entry Fee Classes are now full. Thank you for your interest. Best of luck to all exhibitors. Results released Friday 18th November.
