ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE THE UNAIDED WORK OF THE EXHIBITOR AND CANNOT PREVIOUSLY HAVE WON 1st PRIZE AT THE CORK SUMMER SHOW. This will be strictly enforced and no refunds given.

Exhibits are to be delivered to the Showgrounds, Curraheen on Friday June 17th between 2.30pm and 4.30pm and will be judged on Friday evening. No exhibitors to be onsite during judging.

Exhibits cannot be removed from the Showgrounds before 5pm on Sunday 19th June.

Class 5013: I.S.A. ODLUMS ALL IRELAND HOME BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP

Rules & Conditions

Each exhibitor to bake all items using recipes found on the Odlums website and Odlums products must be used. 

  • Decorated Chocolate Victoria Sandwich - 2 x 20cm/8"
  • Mozzarella and Tomato Tarts - 2x 13cm/6" rounds
  • Iced Lemon and Poppy Seed Traybakes - 4cm/ 1.5" deep and approx. 13cm/6" x 10cm/4"

NB  All recipes can be found on the Odlum's website.

  1. Items to be displayed on individual plates and each exhibitor will be allotted their own space (trays optional) on a base 24" Square.
  2. Points will be awarded for taste, appearance of baked items and presentation.
  3. The competition is confined to amateurs, both male and female, with one entry per exhibitor at the final.
  4. The items must be fresh and home baked by exhibitor.
  5. A special class will be held at each qualifying show.  Two entries may qualify from these shows for the final, if judges agree that the standard is high enough.  The Qualifiers from each of these shows will go forward to the final, to be held at the Tullamore Show, on Sunday August 14th.
  6. Non-adherence to tray size will deem elimination of exhibit.
  7. All items will be cut and/or sampled by the Judge.
  8. Each of the successful qualifiers will receive a hamper containing Odlum's products, on appearance at the final.
  9. Certificates will be awarded to the finalists.
  10. The judges' decisions at all stages of the competition is final.
  11. Exhibits are displayed at owner's risk.

These rules should be read in conjunction with the I.S.A. rules.

Final Prizes: 1st €300 plus Trophy, Goods in Kind; 2nd €200 plus Goods in Kind; 3rd €100 plus Goods in Kind; 4th - 8th €60
