HO30: Best in Show Fruit and Vegetables

Best of individual fruit and vegetable classes, including U18 classes.

Winner will be awarded a boxed rosette and National Vegetable Society medal and prize card.

RULES AND CONDITIONS:

  1. All horticulture entries must be grown by the exhibitor with the exception of the U18 class 'Mr Potato Head Creation'. 
  2. Judge's decision is final.

 

Staging - Friday 14th June 2024 4.00pm to 8.00pm.

NOTE- Fruit and Vegetables, Farm Produce and U18 classes only: Limited staging on Saturday morning strictly before 7.30am however vehicular access to the marquee will not be permitted and exhibitors will therefore have to walk with exhibits from the main car parks.

Judging - Saturday 15th June 2024 8.00am – 10.00am

Viewing - Saturday 15th June 2024 from 11.00am

Dismantling - Sunday 16th June 2024 5.00pm – 6.00pm

RULES AND CONDITIONS:

  1. All vegetables should be washed and free from soil with roots trimmed as required.
  2. Vegetable classes will be judged according to the National Vegetable Society's rules.
  3. Paper plates provided where required.
  4. Presentation will be considered by the judge.

No entries permitted on day of event.

Class HO28: Any dish of fruit (1 kind) not already classed
Class HO29: Basket/ container of at least 3 kinds of fruit
Class HO18: 3 Onions
Class HO19: 3 Bulbs of Garlic
Class HO20: 2 Heads of Lettuce
Class HO21: 6 Culinary Herbs
Class HO23: 2 of Any Vegetable Not Already Classed
Class HO24: Basket/ container of Homegrown Vegetables
Class HO14: 2 of Any Vegetable or Fruit
