Sustainability is at the heart of the Cork Summer Show
This year’s show is our most sustainable yet, with a broad range of initiatives designed to respect the environment and minimise our ecological footprint.
Transport – It’s no fuss, take the bus!
When you’re visiting the Cork Summer Show, we encourage you to consider leaving the car at home and using public transport.
Thanks to support from Bus Éireann, a special extension of the 208 bus route will bring you to a bus stop right at the entrance to the Cork Summer Show in the Showgrounds at Curraheen.
This extended service runs from 07:00 until 20:30 on both Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 June, ensuring you have plenty of time to enjoy the show.
The 208 route serves a wide area of Cork City, starting at Ashmount, passing through Mayfield, Ballyhooley Road, Summer Hill, MacCurtain Street, St Patrick’s Street, UCC, Wilton, Bishopstown and terminating at the Cork Summer Show.
Connections to other local and long-distance bus and rail services are all within a short walk in the city centre.
Plan your trip online with the TFI Journey Planner.
For great savings, use a Leap Card or the TFI Go app, with fares starting from as little as 65 cent for students and young adults and just €1.35 for adults. Season tickets and travel passes are also valid on this extended bus service.

If you are driving, consider car sharing and our free ‘Park and Ride’ carparks to reduce traffic at the event.
Sustainable packaging and segragrated bins:
Vendors at the Cork Summer Show will be using reusable, sustainable, compostable, and fully recyclable packaging to minimise their environmental impact.
You will also find clearly labelled bins throughout the site for recyclable, compostable and general waste.
We encourage visitors to the show to help us by ensuring that they place waste in the correct bins. Ask any of our event stewards for more information.
Enjoy a sustainable picnic and leave no trace!
We have hundreds of tables and great places to enjoy a picnic at the Cork Summer Show.
You can enjoy fantastic food from a huge array of food stalls, including some of Cork's best artisan food producers.
Or, if you're feeling creative, you can bring your own picnic. Remember to pack sustainably! Consider using reusable containers or biodegradable materials.
Go Digital!
We're making the Cork Summer Show a paperless event. Our site maps and other information is available fully digitally and our ticketing is all online.
Avoid using paper and check out www.corksummershow.com and follow us on social media.
Look out for scannable QR codes throughout the site as you browse the Cork Summer Show. These will provide you with links to maps and other useful information.
Bring your own reusable cup!
Our vendors will be happy to accept reusable cups when you’re buying tea, coffee, and other hot beverages.
