Pony Championship - Champion €75 / Reserve Champion € 50,unless otherwise stated
Rescue Pony Championship - CHampion €100 / Reserve Champion €50 (Prize money is donated to the Rescue Centre the winning ponies were originally rescued from)
I.S.A. Levy - 5% Deducted from Prize Money
Please note:
A. Any pony not in position of a current IPS showing card, may not be eligible for IPS points..
B. No person under 16 years on 1 January of the current year may lead a pony, with the exception of Young Handler classes.
C. Ponies one year old and over must wear a bit. No hind shoes allowed in Young Stock classes.
D. 1st and 2nd Prize winnerds are eligible to entry their respective Championships.
E. The committee reserve the right to cancel or amalgamate any class if insufficient entries are received.
F. NO Stallions allowed, with the exception of Foals & Yearlings, or unless specifically stated in a qualifier.

Ring 1 to follow Inhand Connemara
RULES AND CONDITIONS
- This championship is confined to Registered Connemara Mares and Geldings, 4 and 5 years of age, not exceeding 148cm, ridden by a rider who has attained their 14th birthday as of January 1st 2026
- No Stallions allowed.
- All ponies must be registered with the CPBS, the progeny of a registered Connemara sire and registered Connemara dam.
- Exhibitors in both the qualifier and the final must have the CPBS passport ready for inspection prior to entry to the judging ring. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate disqualification.
- A Maximum of Two exhibits may qualify, provided the judges feel the standard is high enough for an ISA Championship.
- One of the judges at the final must be from the CPBS judges list.
- The qualifying exhibitor must fill out their own qualifying card at each qualifying show. Completed card and entry fee must be handed into the secretary’s office on show day.
These rules should be read in conjunction with the ISA Rules
PRIZE FUND: €3,500, PRIZES: Champion: €600 - 2nd: €500 -3rd: €400 – 4th: €200, 5th: €200 –6th: €150 7th and upwards will receive €100 on appearance at Final
A prize will be presented for the best turned out pony and most appropriately dressed rider.
ENTRY FEE: To Qualifying Show €15 / To Final €30.
FINAL: WEST CLARE SHOW (Kilrush) Sunday 4th July 2026
